THE church of St Mary's, Guarlford was beautifully decorated for the carol service held last on Sunday. Reverend David Nichol and Powick church choir led the singing. The carol If I had been a Shepherd and the anthem We have seen this Star in the East were sung by the choir and Lyn Snook sang The Virgin's Lullaby. The organ was played by Lyndall Brown. The Christmas story was told in readings from the Bible by Dan and Pam Hill, Roy Palmer, Avril Dearn, Rosemary McCulloch, Tricia Kuun and Helen Gaskin.
Today (Christmas Eve), crib service in Guarlford Church at 5.15pm and parish communion at 11am on Christmas Day.
Christmas communion, Madresfield Church today at 10pm. On Sunday (St Stephen's Day), 11am, also at Madresfield.
