THE annual Christingle service will take place today (Christmas Eve) at 4pm at St James' Church. All are welcome.
A packed village hall enjoyed And a Partridge in a Pear Tree, an evening of seasonal words and music given by the Colwall Players, last Saturday evening. Dickens, Dylan Thomas, Kilvert and the Christmas excerpt from O What a Lovely War were just some of the authors included, as well as more modern writers. Young Colwall Players also took part, performing their own Letters to Father Christmas. Mulled wine and mince pies were also served. Proceeds will go to Acorns Children's Hospice.
