The 35th anniversary of the group was celebrated with a cake.
The guest speaker was George Hook, who talked about the history of his family business, which makes items such as pearl buttons and cutlery handles, from mother-of-pearl.
The Charity Christmas Fayre was held on November 13, and a cheque from the proceeds will be forwarded to Kemp Hospice.
The next meeting will be on January 10.
