DANNY McDonnell insists Worcester City should be aiming to take at least four points from their seasonal double against Midlands rivals Nuneaton Borough.

City's goalkeeper is adamant that the St George's Lane club can still win the Nationwide North title following a tightly-fought first half to the season.

And McDonnell, 31, believes his side can make a positive push for promotion in 2005 by dominating the festive back-to-back derby duels with Boro, starting at the Lane on Boxing Day.

He said: "We have got to be looking at getting four points out of the next two games. If we get six points it would push us right up the table.

"Everyone looks at reaching the play-offs, but at this stage of the season, the title is there to have a go at. We have got to aim for the top because it is still a realistic aim.

"It will be nice to play in front of a really big crowd."

City hold their annual general meeting tonight at St George's Lane, starting at 8.15pm, where the club's board of directors are expected to announce the latest developments on the proposed new stadium on Nunnery Way.

Vice-chairman Laurie Brown is up for re-election to the board, David Little, a co-opted director since April, is up for election, while Richard Widdowson is also standing for election.
