INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: The December meeting was held in the Royal British Legion Hall and after the business was completed the entertainer for the afternoon, Tony Minchella, was introduced.
He played a variety of different numbers, some of which accompanied the dancing which some members took part in.
Half way through the afternoon tea and mince pies were served at the tables by the catering team. Good wishes and cards were exchanged towards the end of the meeting, the last for 2004. A vote of thanks went to all those who had organised the event.
Ending the year on one sad note was learning of the loss of Dot Cooper, who had recently died. She was a long-standing member and had supported the club for many years.
