TOWN councillors at Upton-upon-Severn may think again about introducing alcohol free zones in the town.
In the past, they have repeatedly rejected the idea. They have been reluctant to damage tourism by creating alcohol free zones in the town, famous for its summer festivals.
Councillors have also been worried about cluttering up the town centre with signs.
But now, the Mayor, Mark Kerrigan, has suggested the subject could be worth discussing again, because police powers have changed since the subject was last discussed.
"They didn't have the power to confiscate alcohol from minors if the package was sealed, but now they do have the power," he said.
