WITH Christmas and the New Year just days away, people in Worcester are being urged to consider their health and take up the ancient Chinese martial art Tai Chi.
Worcester instructor Catherine Hyde is offering people the chance to get involved at a new class in the city.
"It is suitable for people of all ages and abilities and needs no equipment or special clothing," she said.
"Tai Chi is known as an internal martial art because it works on mind, body and spirit together, increasing your physical fitness, improving your appearance, and developing your self awareness and confidence.
The classes are taught slowly and methodically in a traditional style and individuals are encouraged to make progress at their own pace.
The classes run on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Friends' Meeting House in Sansome Place.
