EMPLOYERS in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are being urged to give their workers a well-deserved Christmas present by taking advantage of £1,000 worth of free training.

The Chamber of Commerce and Business Link Herefordshire and Worcestershire is offering tailored training to firms with between 20 and 249 employees in the two counties.

"If you're a managing director or owner manager and your company has room for growth, training should be top of your 'Santa wish list' this year," said Lisa Tubb, head of workforce development at the chamber.

"This is positive news for businesses in the two counties as MDs will be given the opportunity to access money for training of their choice, free of charge.

"An approved assessor will carry out a full individual assessment, which in itself is worth £400, that will identify what personal skills are needed to help that person's particular company grow and develop.

"Then, all they have to do is simply register for the training required."
