THE Christmas story has been performed in halls and churches in Alcester over the past two weeks as schools and nurseries produced their annual nativity plays.
Many have found a modern drama to delight family audiences but the traditional tale of Mary and Joseph still takes pride of place.
Pupils in the reception class at St Nicholas School performed Santa's Sneezy Christmas and years 1, 2 and 3 put on a lively production of The Dancing Christmas Party.
The Russian tale of Baboushka was the choice of Our Lady's RC Primary School and youngsters at Scallywags performed their nativity in the Baptist Church.
