KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are demanding action from the Football Association after claiming a referee turned the air blue in their latest Coca-Cola League Two defeat.

Boss Stuart Watkiss will report official Darren Drysdale for alleged comments to two Harriers players in Saturday's 2-0 loss at rivals Cheltenham Town.

Drysdale sent off Wayne Hatswell during the game in a controversial incident for "serious foul play".

Harriers have little chance of appealing against a four-match ban for their skipper and centre-half who has now picked up two red cards and seven yellows this season.

But Watkiss intends to pursue allegations from Dean Keates and Chris Beardsley that Drysdale directed foul and abusive language towards them during the game.

Though he said the referee denied the claim afterwards, Watkiss will mention it in his match report to the FA.

And he fumed: "It's not on. If it had been one of my players behaving like that they would have been sent off by the referee and then fined by the club.

"I will be making a note of their allegations to the relevant authorities and I will be demanding a response from them."
