TWO races in as many weeks brought the Amazing Feet Running Club's Inter-club race league to an end.

John Amos tied up the championships for the third time in four years, at the Sneyd 10-mile road race, his rival, Brian Humphries, being absent through illness.

Shaw Pye was first home for the club, in one hour three minutes 28 seconds, with ladies champion Sarah Armstrong next in a personal best 1-7-47, as sixth lady.

Simon Gregg recorded 1-13-22, Phil Bubb 1-14-48 (personal best), Paul Hancock 1-19-40 (PB), Sarah Lewis 1-22-48), Jane Pye 1-23-23 (PB), Colin Pheasant 1-27-10 and Lindsay Pulley 1-34-14.

Other finishers were: Gerry Sanders, David Pye (PB), Bernadette Byrne.

Armstrong claimed the overall runners-up spot in the league as well as the ladies title, at the Telford Christmas 10k.

Lewis was the ladies league runner-up and J Pye, who was not competing at Telford due to injury, finished third.

Nine of the 15 club members competing achieved personal best times.

Eight members tackled the Mortimer Forest Hill Race - a 10-mile multi-terrain event near Ludlow.
