POLICE have appealed for information after cash was stolen from an elderly man's home in Stourport-on-Severn at the weekend.
It is believed offenders entered the Mitton home of the victim, who is in his 90s, and stole a cash box containing about £400, between 7.15pm on Saturday and 10.15am the following morning.
A police spokesman said: "It is always sad to hear of this type of burglary at the home of a vulnerable elderly person, especially at Christmas.
"We are reminding elderly people not to keep large quantities of cash in the house.
"We are also appealing to people to keep an eye on elderly neighbours."
There was no sign of a forced entry, but a door that had been left secure on Saturday was discovered unlocked on Sunday.
Some of the victim's belongings had also been disturbed.
Anyone with information can contact Kidderminster police on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
