BROMSGROVE Rovers manager Jimmy Mullen has moved to strengthen his squad by securing the signatures of two players.

Mullen, who guided his team to a 2-1 win over Bracknell on Saturday, has brought back striker Richard Burgess for another stint at the Victoria Ground and Matt Johnson from Telford.

Burgess was released by Halesowen Town last week despite being second top goalscorer.

Midfielder Johnson, aged 21, started his career as an apprentice at Shrewsbury Town.

Meanwhile, three Kidderminster Harriers players are facing bans for their Boxing Day home clash with Swansea City.

Recent signing Simon Weaver and Dean Keates picked up one-match suspensions for their fifth yellow cards during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at rivals Cheltenham Town.

And skipper Wayne Hatswell is likely to sit out four games following a second red card of the season.
