FAMILY favourite Thomas the Tank Engine will star in a live action show at Severn Valley Railway this weekend

Thomas and friends, played by real engines, will be around for two weekends and hundreds of children are expected to give them a warm welcome. In the show, Thomas has been drinking from the river and there are fish in his water tanks. He needs the audience's help to get better.

Over both weekends, the 16-mile Bridgnorth steam heritage line will become a Thomas corridor, with many of Thomas's friends and attractions to be found at stations down the line. There will also be a unicycling juggler at Kidderminster, a magician at Bewdley, Punch and Judy and Zeppo the Magic Clown at Arley, and a bendy balloon man at Bridgnorth.

The live shows, at Kidderminster Town Station, take place five times a day, this Saturday and Sunday as well as Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14.

Admission price for a Day Out with Thomas, which includes travel on all trains, is £13 for adults, £11 senior citizens and £7 for children aged between two and 15.
