CARERS from across Worcestershire came together during a national event to recognise their work.
National Carers Rights Day aimed to increase awareness about the benefits available, to highlight the needs of carers themselves and raise their profile in the community.
Worcester MP Mike Foster dropped in to Worcestershire county council's carers unit to offer his support and advice on the day, to celebrate those who look after sick friends, relatives and neighbours.
"We were really pleased at the number of people who attended" said Della Lewis, the unit's development worker.
