GENEROUS and hard-working students from a Worcester school have collected Christmas gifts to brighten the festive period at a city hostel.
Scott Rice, Dianne Hensher and Dan Parker, from Riverside School, in Thorneloe Road, contacted Worcester retailers to ask for donations to make up the Christmas boxes.
The 14 to 16-year-olds, who are also taking a Certificate in Skills for Working Life course at Worcester College of Technology, took the presents to St Paul's Hostel on Friday.
Generous
"The students have worked very hard organising the Christmas boxes to give to the hostel and we are thrilled with the amount of goods that we have received," said Bernadette Long, a course tutor at the Deansway college.
"The students wanted to be able to provide the hostel with brand new items. We would like to thanks all of the local retailers who have given so generously to the project."
Beatties, All Sports, Superdrug, The Candle Shop and local market stallholders all donated to the cause.
