THERE are more than 57,000 carers working in Worcestershire - and many combine caring with a full- time job.

For many, financial matters are at the forefront of their minds, and other worries can include how to make appropriate legal arrangements to protect themselves and the people they care for.

The Worcestershire Association of Carers is hosting two information days, at the Perdiswell Young People's Centre, to help put their minds at rest.

Carers will be able to get information and advice from professionals and experts about financial planning, benefits, debt management and legal issues arising out of being a carer.

Topics will include how to make a will, how to set up trusts and enduring powers of attorney, as well as advice on property issues relating to benefits.

Independent advisers will be able to help carers manage their finances, from coping with debt to maximising financial resources.

There will also be opportunities to learn about the range of benefits available to help carers.

The information days are being held on Wednesday, May 17, between 6pm and 9pm and on Wednesday, May 24, between 10.30am and 2pm.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided and all sessions are completely free.
