MALVERN cycling club VC Sevale is holding a freewheel competition on Tuesday, December 28. Meeting on the car park at British Camp at 9.45am, the event begins at 10am.

This is a race for just about anyone who can sit on a bike and roll down a hill. The idea is to freewheel as far as possible in the direction of Ledbury, whoever rolls the furthest, without peddling, wins the competition. Anyone who wishes to take part - please make sure your bike is in good working order, as speeds of around 40mph can be reached on this stretch of road.

The race will be followed by a Christmas ride to the Farmers' Arms pub.
