Evesham II 26pts, Dixonians 5
DESPITE being heavily outweighed in the pack the Eve-sham forwards fought hard for procession allowing the backs to demonstrate the dynamic flare that has delivered 13 straight wins this season.
The game was only minutes old when the hosts struck with a solo effort from Chris Walvaard, showing why he has 16 tries to his name this year.
He went on to add two more but the visiting pack managed to mount a fightback and, des-pite fearless tackling from the home side, they crossed just before half-time to post their only points of the day and to trail 14-5 at the break.
The second half was a true battle of determination with possession trading hands on a play by play basis.
In the end it was Evesham who made the most of their opportunities, managing to run in a further two tries and one conversion in what turned out to be a comfortable victory.
The pick of the second half scores was a well-polished back line move that resulted in Pat Johnson going over under the posts.
