AS the title may suggest Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is not the most

politically correct of games. Last week readers may recall Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, an equally controversial title but a much better game overall.

The main problem with Leisure Suit Larry is that it's just a barrage of immature toilet humour and innuendo. Now in all fairness, if this were to be pulled off correctly it could make for a highly entertaining game. You only have to look at films such as American Pie to know that innuendo in the media can work.

Larry sports a ginger quiff, is one of the shortest kids in the school, and is the biggest geek to step foot on campus. In short, Larry is a loser, but hopes things will change when he enters Swingles, TV's number one dating show.

In short, the aim of this game is for Larry to "pull" as many hot ladies as he can. This is literally the entire concept of the game. If made well then there is the possibility this game could have been mediocre, unfortunately the first pitfall is the loading screens. It takes ages for each section to load.

In order to "pull" a woman, Larry must talk to them, dance with them, make them drinks, take them on a date or perform other tedious tasks. In one instance when he tries to pull a geek from the library you are given the task of performing a make-over to transform her into a beautiful goddess!

The tasks in question, which can be seen as mini games, require very little skill, and in most cases simply need gamers to press a certain button at the right time.

After having played this game from start to finish I desperately scoured for some sort of redeeming feature or humorous joke but my search was in vain.

In short, Leisure Suit Larry is offensive, immature, and irritating. Avoid at all costs.
