The December meeting featured a murder, party time and carols. Members from Areley Kings performed a playlet "Castle Dangerous", written by Andrew Wehner, and members had to solve the crime.
Members questioned the characters, and made their choices. Mr Wehner then provided the answer to who committed the ghastly deed.
A session of carol-singing was accompanied by Stanley Mitchell on the piano.
A group of members went on an outing to a Christmas market at Bath on Tuesday, December 7.
On January 6, M Jones will give a talk on "Beekeeping and Honey", starting at 7.30pm at the church hall, Habberley.
