The Christmas party was the final event of the year, when a short musical entertainment was followed by an American supper. Recorded music and seasonal readings were presented by members.
Terry Wilkinson chose to play songs performed by Kathleen Ferrier, while Bob Drew's choice was a Consolation by Liszt and Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, and Bob Polfreman played the finale from La Cenerentola by Rossini, featuring Cecilia Bartoli.
Three Kings from Christus by Liszt was David Norman's preference, and chairman Graham Kiteley chose Peggy Lee singing Christmas Waltz.
To close the programme was a most unusual version of While Shepherds Watched, chosen by Moira Brown.
Next year's programme is now available, the first meeting featuring Hidden Talent on January 14, when some of the newer members will present a recording, at Holy Innocents community hall, Kidderminster, starting at 7.30pm - non-members are always welcome.
