CHADDESLEY Corbett gave three silly goals away to Cradley Town Reserves in a hapless 25-minute spell, and eventually were beaten 3-2.

Cradley were well organised and deserved their victory, though in the first third of the match they had little opposition.

Jordan Tipper scored the two Chaddesley goals, but the bright spot for Chaddesley was the debut of defender Matt Fludgate, who has had long-term injury.

Shaun Parsons came on as a substitute and also showed great promise. Manager Richard Downey and his players need to re-group if they want to salvage some pride for the rest of the season.

Chairman David Yardley said: "I can appreciate and acknowledge the hard work that has gone on, and is still going on, from the management side. I always knew this was going to be a difficult season. We have rebuilt the squad completely and we are still learning about some individuals.

"These things take time, and although it can be frustrating I am sure the club will benefit in future from all the ongoing hard work."

Downey has given an opportunity to 45 players this season, and is still willing to give a chance to any player who wants to compete at West Midland League level. He can be contacted on 078 6755 6830. On Saturday, Chaddesley take on Kington Town Reserves, kick-off 1.45pm - players to meet at Longmore for 12.30pm.
