FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a casualty from the wreckage of a two-car crash on a country road yesterday.
The smash happened in the evening on the B4204 Worcester to Martley road in a dip on a damp road, just outside the village at Castle Hill.
Two ambulances and a medical response car were called to the scene.
Three patients, including one child, were transferred to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
A BMW and a 4x4 were involved in the collision, which happened just before 6pm.
Two fire engines from Worcester attended the scene, and using heavy cutting equipment, cut the driver of the BMW from the wreckage, said spokesman for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, Alec Mackie.
The road was closed until 7.30pm. Traffic was diverted around unclassified roads in the area.
