IT was a game of two halves when the top two of the Gilt Edge Short Mat Bowling League met midway through the season.
Leaders Invincibles lost the first half 11-4 to second place Telly Tubbies but recovered to win the second half 6-5 thanks to good bowling from skipper Craig Hall.
Third-placed Tornadoes edged the first half of their match with Crusaders 7-6 but lost the second half 12-1.
One for the Road are climbing the table after beating Just for Fun 17-12. Brintons could not find their recent good form, losing 13-7 and 10-3 to Squirrel. Struggling Stourportbeat Blakedown 19-13 after welcoming back two key players.
Wribbenhall and Untouchables played a tight first half which ended 9-9. In the second, the Untouchables played superbly to take the half 19-5.
Dire Straits have dropped out of the league but their place has been taken by a team from Cookley called The Who. This week they played their first game against Aces. They lost 21-4, but will soon get the feel of the mats.
