STOURPORT Boat Club's junior squad stole the show at Walton Small Boats Head of the River to bring up the club's 50th victory of the season.

With an entry of over 650 crews, Walton has traditionally been an event which regularly attracts national and international standard crews but it did not deter the Stourport youngsters.

Sculling in J16 Doubles siblings Matthew and Daniel Brighton recorded their third victory of the season in the event beating the host club by one second.

The second victory for Stourport again came in double sculls through Jessica Danby and Laura Ray, taking the women's Junior 16 title with Stratford runners up and another Stourport double taking third place.

Recording their second wins of the day, M Brighton took the J14 Single Sculls title while JDanby bought home a Stourport first, second and third to record a win in J16 Single Sculls.

The final two victories for the town club came in Junior 12 Single Sculls.

Luke Barnett took the men's title while in the women's event, not to be out done by her older brothers, Hannah Brighton took the Women's event to record her third victory of the season and the 50th win for the club this season.

Stourport's oarsmen will be competing next at home when they hold their Head of the River, the first event of the New Year.
