KIDDERMINSTER go into their last fixture of the year this weekend determined to make their Christmas wish come true.

Chris Pocknell set his side a target of being in the top four by the time the winter break ticks around.

They are currently fourth but will go second if they win at Stone on Saturday.

Defeat would see them slip to fourth place.

Kidderminster were due to take on their Staffordshire rivals last weekend but it has been re-arranged after a disagreement about the start time.

Pocknell said: "This is our final game before Christmas so it would be nice to go out on a high.

A couple of the teams near us lost last week so we can take advantage."

The seconds moved out of the relegation zone with a confident 4-3 victory over high-flying Whitchurch.

Rupert Upshon bagged a brace with Andy Pocknell and Clive Link also on target.

The fourths were beaten 5-2 by Lodge Park with Mike Wakenshaw and Alistair Burton on the mark.

Kidderminster Ladies were left with an uphill task as they conceded too early goals to table-toppers Worcester.

Looking to bounce back from the previous weekend's 4-0 defeat to rivals Stourport, they got off to the worst possible start against the pace-setters.

Kay Hannah pulled a spectacular goal back for Kidderminster after the break and Kerry Venskus came close when she hit the post.

But despite a fine performance by Giverney Gallagher they were unable to equalise.
