THREE of Wyre Forest's leading sports clubs are walking in a winning wonderland this week after a festive upturn in fortunes.
Kidderminster Harriers ended a run of eight successive defeats to beat Rochdale 2-1, a result which offers them fresh hope of staying up.
The victory, in new manager Stuart Watkiss's first home game, keeps Harriers in touch with relegation rivals Cambridge and Shrewsbury in Coca Cola League Two.
There was also joy for Kidderminster Carolians Rugby Club, who ended a five-game losing run of their own to win 16-11 at Wednesbury.
Nathan Small played a starring role in the victory that draws KCs level on points with four fellow strugglers.
Club history will be made when one of their senior matches is refereed by a woman for the first time on Saturday.
And completing the triumphant trio were Stourport Hockey Club who go into the Christmas break on the back of a 2-1 success over Brooklands.
Skipper Phil Lashford scored twice in the win which catapults them off the bottom and up five places English Hockey League Premier Two.
