MAY I through your columns express a few views on the traffic in Worcester Road.
My wife and myself have lived in Worcester Road for the last 38 years and have seen a lot of changes some not for the better.
I think it would be a good idea if the industrial and Tesco's premises were directed round the bypass onto the Chadbury link now that is open.
I work for a coach company in Evesham and can assure you that its far quicker to come down the Chadbury link left at the island into Worcester Road for Tesco's etc.
For a start you are missing the bottle neck at the bottom of Greenhill and you are not passing through residential area and the school.
Perhaps a weight limit for lorries may be an idea, at least the lorries wouldn't have the lights and parked cars to contend with.
As regards to parking it isn't just us that park in Worcester Road, its railway passengers and when we say anything to them when they park in front of our house we get "so what" and they drive off with two fingers up at us.
It would be also a good idea to have an island at Tesco's and traffic signed back down the Worcester Road to the Chadbury link.
So come on Wychavon, Tesco's and industrial owners and whoever runs the railways get talking instead of just thinking of yourselves and think of us in Worcester Road who was here before a lot of you were born.
M J MATTHEWS, Worcester Road, Evesham.
