A wildlife artist who moved to Africa has died after an attack by a buffalo.
Simon Combes, 64, who lives in Kenya, was walking with his wife and a cheetah expert when the buffalo charged and gored him in the chest on Sunday in the Great Rift Valley.
From her home in Bushley, near Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, his ex-wife Susie said his new wife Kat and friend Mary Wykstra chased the buffalo and threw bottles at it to make it run away.
"They were very brave," she added.
