A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by careless driving following the death of a young woman.
Hereford Police arrested the man following the crash in which a young woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on the B4224 Hereford to Hampton Park Road at approximately 1.30am yesterday, when the light blue Vauxhall Carlton estate car collided with a wall.
It is suspected the man was under the influence of drink or drugs at the time.
Another male passenger was taken to Hereford County Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call Insp Steve Turner, or Sgt Tony Jones at Hereford Police Station on 08457 444888.
