STRATFORD's homeless have been handed a cash boost by Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott.
A £150 million national package has been announced to fund schemes aimed at reducing homelessness. And £29,000 of that money has been earmarked for Stratford District Council.
Improved conditions at hostel accommodation has been highlighted as one of the areas where money will be targetted with cash also being invested in drug rehabilitation and support for women experiencing domestic violence.
