HARD-working education staff from Redditch have been honoured in a ceremony at County Hall for their long service and dedication.
Fifty teachers, cleaners, dinner ladies and administration staff from around the county were awarded commemorative plaques for 25 years' service with Worcestershire County Council.
The staff from Redditch who were commended were Mr Rippington from Alvechurch Middle School, Mrs Dunkley from Arrow Vale High School, Mr Mannion from Church Hill Middle School, Mrs Spiers from Ipsley Middle School, Mr Jones from Kingsley College, Mrs Turner from Mount Carmel First School, Mrs Wheeler from Pitcheroak School, Mrs Elwell from Roman Way First School and Mrs Page from St Bede's Middle School.
Councillor Jean Longmuir, cabinet member for education, said: "We rely enormously on those who give us their loyalty and we are incredibly fortunate to have so many people who qualify for a long service award."
