A 12-week-old puppy will soon be looking for a new home after it was found abandoned on a building site near Matchborough.

Dog Warden Julie Edmonds picked up the cross breed smooth coated pup onThursday.

She said the pup, who has been taken to Hollytrees Rescue Centre in Wythall, was doing very well, despite his ordeal.

Meanwhile, a dog was seen being thrown out of a car before it was hit by another vehicle being driven down Studley Road in Greenlands.

Mrs Edmonds is now appealing for anyone who has seen the black and white collie with a very pink nose to call her.

She said: "A woman saw the dog being thrown out of the car and another car hitting it before it ran off down Oakenshaw Road. We are desperate to find this dog."

Anyone with information can call her on 07799 887536.

Mrs Edmonds is also looking for information about a dog with a red collar which she has received calls about.

"It has been seen all over Redditch. It is a medium sized dog and has lost a little weight," she said.
