FESTIVE tots performed a musical extravaganza telling the real story of Christmas in front of proud parents.
Pupils from St Joseph's Primary School in Ombersley Way put on 'It's a Party' for their mums and dads.
Youngsters have been busy rehearsing for the play, which has been organised by teacher Karen McCracken, with each class performing a different song and dance.
Westlands tots told the traditional story of the nativity through the eyes of a mouse. Manger Mouse was the imaginative name for one of the plays children at Westlands First School took part in on December 6.
The older children performed Manger Mouse while the younger pupils told the Christmas story in traditional style. Both plays featured singing, dancing and speech.
Julie Millard, headteacher at the Farmers Way school, said: "All the parents really enjoyed the plays, they thought it they were simple and very effective."
And tiny tots at Wychbold First and Nursery School whisked parents off the Bethlehem in their Christmas play.
Three and four year olds performed the traditional nativity play in front of mums and dads last Friday.
"The parents thought it was wonderful," said Eleanor Sinton, headteacher at the School Road school.
Older pupils will appear in the second performance of A Tale of Two Birthdays tonight. The story tells of the birthday of Casper, one of the three kings, and then, days later, of baby Jesus.
