GOOD sports at a Droitwich Spa school have won an award for getting physical.
Ombersley Endowed First School was recently presented with a prestigious Sportsmark Award.
The award, which is handed out by Sport England, recognises a high standard of physical education in schools. The Droitwich Road school offers its pupils a host of physical pursuits including football, netball, gymnastics, judo, cricket and rugby.
Pupils also work alongside students from Droitwich Spa High School, a specialist sports college.
Headteacher Gill Nixon said she was delighted with the award.
"I would give full credit to Jane Hobbs, the co-ordinator for sport at the school. She has done a lot to increase the number of sports we offer," she added.
