YOUNG farmers saddled up for a charity bike ride with a difference.
Energetic members of the Bromsgrove Young Farmers Club recently got on board a 23-seater bike for the 11-mile trek from Wychbold to Worcester.
The ride started at Webbs garden centre and took in Droitwich Spa's High Street and lunch at the White Hart, in Fernhill Heath, before arriving in Worcester in the afternoon. It raised more than £2,000 for St Richard's Hospice.
Alison Weston, the hospice's community fundraiser, said: "It's was great fun and we were overwhelmed by the goodwill and generosity of people along the route towards St Richard's.
"The team really enjoyed themselves and caused a lot of head turning as they cycled along wearing Santa hats on this huge bike. It's a great bike. We are very grateful to the Young Farmers for taking up the challenge and helping the hospice in the way."
A selection of Worcestershire companies generously sponsored the hire of the bike.
