RESIDENTS of the Slough, Crabbs Cross, have had enough of living in a death trap.
Ever since the Rough Hill Drive/Windmill Drive roundabout was built at the end of their road, their peaceful lives have been invaded by the constant roar of traffic, threatening their lives and sanity.
"The noise is terrible," said Mr Clarence Green, who lives on the road.
"The cars come up here too fast because they are not prepared for the roundabout and then as they brake, there is a terrible screech.
"It's a dangerous place, there's no doubt about it."
The long-awaited yellow lines could be laid soon, providing that there are no objections, said a county council spokesman.
The reason for the delay is a staff shortage in the secretary's department at Worcester, which has created a backlog of road traffic orders.
