PRESIDENT Betty Wolsey welcomed members to the December meeting.
A two-minute silence was observed in memory of long-time WI member Hester Rea, who died recently at the age of 94.
Secretary Betty Gibbs outlined business and future events.
Festive entertainment followed when Margaret Chance and Barbara Lees performed an amusing sketch entitled Ethel. It illustrated, in a lighthearted way, how the environment can affect personality and behaviour.
Members then took part in a craftwork exercise, in which they each produced a candle and foliage arrangement, which they could take home.
The meeting was rounded off with a Christmas tea made up of food items brought in by members.
The next meeting will be held at Stoke Prior village hall on January 5, when a presentation entitled Uganda will be given by Ingrid Pasteur.
