READERS might be interested to know that the Independents on Bromsgrove District Council had voted against the introduction of the new parking system, which requires input of the car registration details before a ticket can be bought to allow parking in the town.
The new system bans the transfer of the ticket to another motorist for the unexpired parking time legitimately bought.
Additionally there are also plans to introduce a much fairer 'pay on foot' system within the next few months, wasting some £11,000 at a time when the authority is supposedly strapped for cash.
