REGARDING the recent Bromsgrove District Council meeting where my motion, seconded by Councillor Mike Gill, to give the people of Bromsgrove the street cleaning service, for which they pay in their Council Tax, was lost.
Councillor Dennis Norton, at this meeting, recommended the Conservative councillors vote against the motion. This they did.
I have succeeded in the roads having one good sweep but I cannot get a guarantee this will be on a regular basis. I, therefore, advise that if any resident feels the area in which he/she lives is being neglected, they should ring his local district councillor and complain and keep complaining until the roads are swept. If they wish they can telephone me or Councillor Gill.
Cllr Ann Doyle, Independent - Hillside
Bromsgrove
