ARCHDALE '73 continued their push for promotion from Midland Football Combination Division Two with a 2-0 win at Castle Vale Reserves last night.
Castle Vale, previously unbeated at home, were second to the ball all over the park with Dales' midfield dominating the game.
The visitors would have been two up at half-time but for a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping.
However, Dales did take the lead ten minutes into the second-half when Jason Beck coolly lifted the ball over the defender to volley home right-footed.
Dean Smith, made an outstanding save to keep them in front and from there Dales broke away with Darren Tafft setting up youngster Sam Green who nonchalantly slotted past the 'keeper to give Dales a well-deserved victory.
