REDS reserve keeper Paul Maynard got a taste of Nationwide North on Saturday as he started his first game for Redditch United replacing the injured Richard Anstiss.
The Redditch number one was taken off the pitch against Stafford last week after fracturing his hand.
But after a nightmare start the reserve keeper Maynard he was picking the ball out of the net after nine minutes after Peter Cumiskey put the home side in front.
Reds Kidderminster loan star Scott Rickards equalised for United after 34 minutes but the hitman was given his marching orders after the break.
Reds boss Rod Brown said Rickards could have cost his team a point after being sent off and will be missing three games for his actions.
"Scott has lifted his arms and he shouldn't have done and in the end his actions could have cost us a point.
"It was a fair result for us looking back on the game we could have won the game but I think we've got to be happy with the point.
"They're a very young side and very fit and we lost an early goal but dominated the possession from then on."
