A BENEFITS officer from Worcester City Council is hoping generous Evening News readers can help her raise money to go on the trip of a life time in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.
Lin Tinton from Barbourne, whose mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 10 years ago, is planning to take part in a Great Wall of China Trek next October.
But first she needs to raise £2,600 - half of which goes towards the costs of the 11-day marathon, and the other half direct to the charity.
Demanding
Lin, admitting the trek from Huangyaguan to Juyongguan will be the most demanding exercise she's ever embarked on, said she has been getting into shape by walking to her Orchard House office every day and will be starting a strict new training regime after Christmas.
"I saw an appeal for people to take part on TV and felt I just had to respond," she added.
If you can help raise cash for Lin's Great Wall Trek or have cash-raising ideas that she might be able to call on, call her direct on 01905 722243.
