ARTISTIC youngsters have used their talents to design posters promoting recycling.
A competition run by Wychavon District Council encouraged children to think about waste and choose how best to get their messages across.
"We had an amazing response from schools across the district and some exceptional artwork was produced," said the council's Denise Ditchburn.
"It has proved to be a subject close to the hearts of young people, possibly because it is their future that will be affected by a damaged environment."
Twelve students received prizes for the best posters at a presentation evening at Pershore's Civic Centre last week.
Megan Wardle, from Flyford Flavell First School, won first place in the four to eight-year-old category, while James Witts, of Abbey Park Middle, was top in the nine to 11 age group.
Blackminster Middle School's Kevin Haynes was first out of the 12 to 18-year-olds.
