YOUR front page picture on Monday, December 6 featuring all those Santas running out of control around the streets of Worcester brought home the cruelty of giving someone a live, pretend-Santa as a pet for Christmas.
Once the novelty wears off, and people realise how much it costs to feed and dress a pretend-Santa, plus regular trips to the hairdressers to keep his beard in trim, they soon abandon them to the mercy of the streets.
There they breed and run riot. If you are going to keep a pretend-Santa, keep one in a large grotto so he has plenty of room to move around and wrap presents
