SORRY, National Association of Pension Funds (Evening News, Monday, December 6) but I don't agree that "it would take six years to bring the State Pension up to at least £105 a week."
All it needs is for individual pensioners, the myriad of pensioner's alliances, forums, advisory groups, conventions and campaigns to forget their political allegiances and committee mentality to support a pledge to pensioners.
This would be a pledge that should be put to government and their ministers, all political parties, individual MPs and MEPs.
These people should be told that pensioners require a state pension of £105 a week, payable within 90 days.
Yes or no?
FRANK L JONES, Malvern.
