LEDBURY Town manager Ian Ford described yesterday's FA Vase fourth round draw away to Didcot Town as "one of the toughest" in the competition.

Ford takes his side to the Loop Meadow Stadium on Saturday January 22 after Ledbury defeated Studley 3-1 in the previous round last Saturday.

Two goals from Robbie Colwell and another from Steve Olozak helped secure victory over the Warwickshire outfit.

Didcot are one of the strongest teams remaining in the FA Vase and are currently lying fourth in the Hellenic Premier Division with ambitions of gaining promotion to the Southern Football League.

Among their players is midfielder Joey Beauchamp, who spent the best part of a decade at Oxford United and was once bought by West Ham for £1 million and soon after by Swindon Town for £850,000.

They also have a striking partnership of Stuart Beavon and Ian Concannon, regarded as among the most prolific goalscorers at their level of non-league football.

Despite possessing a formidable squad, Ford remains confident that his side can achieve a giantkilling and pocket a further £1,500 prize money in the process.

The fourth round is the furthest Travel Factory Alliance League side Ledbury have ever reached in the competition and Ford insists there is every chance of now booking a last 16 spot.

Ford said: "It is going to be a very difficult game for us. Didcot are a quality side with two quality strikers and a couple of ex-professionals. It's one of the toughest draws we could have got because they are among the top half dozen teams left in the FA Vase.

"I would have fancied our chances had we got them at home. They will be favourites to go through, but we will go there a give a good account of ourselves. If things fall right for us on the day, then there's every chance of beating them. We are not a bad side and we've done well to get this far."

Westfields travel to Stratford Town tonight in the second round of the Travel Factory Alliance League Cup.
