A PUB regular has swapped the barstool for the cask cellar and the till by taking over his local.
Simon Taylor and his wife, Julie, became landlord and landlady of the Punchbowl in Lichfield Avenue, Ronkswood, Worcester two weeks ago, after the brewery advertised for new tenants to run the popular local.
The couple have a daughter, Rebecca, aged 17.
"I've lived on the estate for 12 years, and been local here for about seven. We just fancied a change of scenery, so we decided to take it over," said Mr Taylor, aged 36.
"It is a long day, but I know most of the people who come in here, which is good," said the former engineer from Ronkswood.
"We've already got parties booked over Christmas so it's going to be really busy. If we make it through Christmas we will be able to relax," said Mr Taylor.
