POLICE are hoping for clues to an incident which led to a man being air-lifted to hospital after two cars were found burnt out near Great Witley.
A green Citroen Xsara and blue Ford Escort Turbo caught fire on the A451 Great Witley to Dunley road, at about 3.45pm on Saturday.
One man in the Escort was taken by helicopter to Selly Oak Hospital, in Birmingham, with what were thought to be non life-threatening injuries.
Five other people involved were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and later released.
Police have yet to interview the two groups, both from the West Midlands, about the incident and do not know how the cars caught fire.
The road was closed until firefighters extinguished the blaze and the cars had been removed at about 6.25pm.
